A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. Luke 6:45
In Psalm 119:11 David said: “Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against you.” The value one places on something is what makes that thing a treasure. If we esteem the word of God and place a great value on it, more than on anything that can be desired, then it becomes a treasure. If it is a treasure, then it must be hidden so that it cannot be stolen. The inner room of your life is your heart and that is where the most treasured possession is to be stored. Where your treasure is that is where your heart will be.
Let the word of Christ dwell in your hearts richly in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. If this is so, the effects will be teaching and administrating one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
