But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Use hospitality one to another without grudging. As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 4:7-11
As stewards of the manifold grace of God we should never forget that the day of accounting is around the corner. Every talent, every gift we have received, natural or spiritual, we are to give account to the One whose eyes see all and who knows all. We are strictly warned to make the best of the time given to us. The Lord Jesus said that men will give account for every idle word. Remember that when the Lord multiplied bread and fed five thousand men, He commanded the disciples to pick up the crumbs that nothing be wasted. Spiritual accountability is far more strict and for us to be good stewards of all graces, we must be people who are genuinely led by the Spirit of God.
