And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.
Luke 22:31-34
The world we live in is sinking deeper and deeper into distress. Our Lord spoke and warned about these times. He spoke of many waxing cold and a great falling away. Apostle Peter spoke of the manifold temptation. The Lord Jesus promised that those who endure to the end shall be saved. The sifting of Satan through intense pressure to deny Christ and give up is meant to derail the faith of many. Not just the person being sifted but those who were witnesses of the sifting. Younger and weaker Christians can see the intense trial of faith of older Christians and their faith becomes weakened. It is time to develop a deep personal root so that other people’s trials of faith would instead strengthen your faith the more.
