Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh. And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.

Matthew 2:1-2, 10-12

In Romans, chapter 1, we read of the Divine sentence on the heathens – that though they had the knowledge of God, yet they did not honor Him as God, and because of that their understanding degenerated to a stupor. The magi acknowledged the newborn Child as King, honored Him with royal gifts, and worshipped Him. Then they were honored by the guiding light of the star and a revelation from God to depart to their land avoiding Herod. God watches how we celebrate Christmas. If we honor and worship the King or are more occupied with each other and lightly esteem the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Worship the King! Merry Christmas!
