Our Essential Articles of Faith

The Bible is the inspired word of God and the revealed will of God

There is one triune eternal God existing in three persons – the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
(Matthew 28:19-20, 1 John 5:7) 

Jesus is God revealed in the flesh
(Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1-14, Colossians 2:9)

Humanity is lost in sin and needs to born again through faith in Jesus Christ
(Romans 3:23-24, John 3:3-5)

Baptism is a sign of faith and union with Jesus Christ and identifying with the church, the family of God
(Matthew 28:19-20, Romans 6:3-5, Acts 2:41) 

The Lord’s Supper is the celebration of the breaking of bread and drinking from the cup as a participation in the body and blood of Jesus
(Matthew 26:28, 1 Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-30) 

The Baptism of the Spirit is for all believers
(Acts 1:4-5, John 7:37-38, Acts 2:4)

The Gifts of the Spirit are active today
(Mark 16:17-18, 1 Corinthians 12:1, 4-11)

The Church is the Body of Christ and each member is an important part
(Ephesians 1:22, 2:1-22, 1 Corinthians 12:13) 

Every believer must belong to a local church
(Acts 2:41-44, Hebrews 10:25)

We have a blessed hope that Jesus will come again for his saints and they will reign and rule with him in the new creation
(2 Thessalonians 1:7, Revelation 19:11-16, Revelation 20:1-7)

Those who reject the gospel of Jesus Christ will be condemned with an eternal judgment
(Hebrews 9:27, 2 Peter 2:9, Hebrews 1:8)
